Most villas are found along the coast, and have stunning sea views, swimming pools, more floor room than an apartment. There are some older styles of villas still available, however, more and more villa rentals are very new or recently remodeled. The newer models will have a modern kitchen with a larger refrigerator and most often a dishwasher. All villas come with a washing machine. Some come with dryers but most often drying your clothes outdoors is the common way since that is the Spanish tradition.
The great year round weather only promotes this practice.
You can rent a villa for a week or by the month. The off-season, which is October – March is recommended for renting, since the weather is still beautiful, the beaches are not as packed, and the best deals are found during these months. The months of July and August are considered to the peak months so villa rental prices run around 150-450 Euros a night for a 2-5 bedrooms.
The off season prices normally range from 100 to 150 Euros a night for the same sizes. Now the real deals are found with by renting by the month. These prices are normally found to be from 1000 through 2000 Euros.
Location is and always will be a factor for prices. Seafront villas on the coastline will be a bit more expensive than those located back near the hills. The same goes for villas with only a mountain view. The Costa in which a villa is being rented from has some variation in the pricing but only a minor one at that.
When renting a villa, consider hiring a car for the duration of your stay there. Often times these villas are not at a convenient location near a town or near public transportation. Factoring in the price of hiring a car is advised.
